Well, the wheels have been set in motion, gathering receipts and such to send to Air France and my insurance company. Had to take a good long look at my finances after my trip, and after having to use my credit card so often on the other side of the pond it doesn't look particularly healthy.

Any compensation I get from the airline (if any) will be going back onto paying the credit card, I'll probably haveta whore myself out as an artist to help pay the rest *bigkittyeyes*

Although I've now signed up for internet banking, which is making paying the installments a lot easier :)

Slept right the way through last night, no 2am wakeup like yesterday - hooray! *happykittydance* ^^

Good job too, was like a zombie during yesterday afternoon - that and I think I've come down with late con-crud >_< I'm drinking those Super C sachets in an attempt to stave it off.

Work went well though, caught up on e-mails and planned out targets and such, then my manager comes round and informs me that I -will- get a bonus this quarter after all O_O I had a terrible quarter with regards to hitting targets and such, so was very surprised, and it's gonna help a great deal towards Christmas, RBW and a possible trip to FC :3

Anyways, work today and then I think it's time to tidy the office again *looks at all his art stuff after AC* and to catch up on commission work - followed by some Fallout 3 *heehee* ;)

Back home, safe and sound in the UK, all luggage is in tact and accounted for :3

Thanks to everyone who helped make the vacation an awesome experience, despite the stressful start with the whole Air Farce situation :)

Heading off to the mall in a bit for some last minute shopping, couple of pairs of sneakers on the agenda before I fly home at around 1810, I've had such a good holiday and I dun wanna leeeeeeeeeeeave ;_; *sadkittyface*

It may sound silly and a bit rushed, but I'm half tempted to just take a week off in the new year and fly on over for FC'10 - anyone got room on their floor for an ebony kitty?

Had an awesome day out at the Zoo in DC - was very snap happy and got a load of good shots - pics to come tomorrow with a bit of luck :)

Heading into DC today to do the whole tourist-y thing, will most probably be going to the Zoo :3

For now though I'm sat here with a brew, and it got me thinking, I could rather do with an icon of Pan with a cup of tea :3

Woke up to an e-mail from back home, my suitcase and it's contents have arrived back home safely, everything is accounted for and there not damage either inside or outside the case. So I now have my Prismas, my scanner and all that candy I'd packed (sorry it didn't make it ><) is back with me :)

My time in Richmond is drawing to a close, Chilly and I are heading up to the DC area a little later and I'll be stopping with the Gneech for a couple of days before my flight - which'll allow me some time for shopping and arting :)

Got a further e-mail this morning, apparently they're gonna deliver my case back home to England either today or tomorrow, so it -should- be back before I get home on Saturday morning *crosses paws*

As for the travel insurance, well apparently I'm not covered for lost luggage on the policy I have o.O I am, however, still keeping all the receipts for clothes (which may cheekily include one of the Steel City Diner ones ;D) and a new bag to put them in, gonna see what Air France's policy is when it comes to claiming compensation.

Gah, still in con mode as far as timeframes go...

Back home in Richmond after an awesome Anthrocon, thanks to everyone who made it such a great experience. I arted, I suited, I enjoyed ^_^

And upon checking my e-mails before, there was one from Air France, they found my luggage in Paris, I've e-mailed them back with my UK address to send it back to, let's see if they reply first before commencing the happykittydance ^_^

Hi gang, having a rather nice time here, did the Artist's Alley yesterday and made $90 *happydance* Hoping to go back in today and get some more of these prints sold :)

Anyways, need to head back the room and get tabbiewolf's markers, which she kindly loaned me last night to get stuff coloured - seeing as Air France have my original ones, along with the sketchbook of Bridgette and Bernadette, which I really wanted to pass around today :/ Oh well, sketchbooks can be replaced, but Kinkos wasn't open today -_-

Oh well, Happy 4th Of July to my US watchers, I shall hopefully be watching the fireworks later :3

So, made it here safely to Pittsburgh, all settled into the room and such...which is more than can be said for the luggage...-STILL- no news -_- *gnaws on Air France*

On a lighter and more fuzzy note, I went along to the wildlife center charity invitational with Chilly last night and saw a whole lot of cute fuzzies and featheries ^_^ It's wonderful to see the dedication of the volunteers and the facilities which they have on offer to help bring the animals back to good health :)

Bumped into a whole bunch of people already, hoping to bump into more of you tomorrow, still unsure as to when I'm gonna get my first outing in the Pansuit - but you can betcha pictures are sure to follow ;)

Anyways, what the heck am I doing sat in the TigerDen when I could be chillin' out in the Zoo? :3 However, I hear my stomach rumbling, so heading off to take care of that first :)

So, I phoned Air France again and again they said there was no news, from the offset they've been asking me to -fax- them through the inventory list that was included with the pack o.O Of course, Erika doesn't have a fax machine...

Okay, so an angry phonecall later and she took some details about what was included in the case to help with the search process, I told them about my scanner, the candies from the UK and the rugby shirt I need for the convention. All I can do now is wait, as I have no way of getting to Dulles airport, so I can't even storm the office and ask personally.

I'm afraid of what my Dad may say when I get home, I'm doing everything I possibly can and am beginning to get overwhelmed by the whole experience, if something doesn't happen today then going to be seriously concerned come the convention...*curls up in a ball and cries*

Managed to track down a converter plug, so I've now got my laptop back :3

Okay, this is getting ridiculous...another call to Air France, same old excuse...

It's been THREE F*****G DAYS!!! Backlog schmacklog, they really should have found it by now, if there's no change in update tomorrow I've half a mind to march right on down to Dulles airport and kick off.

We leave for Pittsburgh on Wednesday and there's things in the case that I need for the convention, so this is getting totally ridiculous...

So, yah, not a happy panther right now, not exactly the perfect start to a vacation :/ *lowgrowl*

Again I've been on the phone with Air France, and again they've no new information about my luggage...apparently there is quite a backlog due to a power outage in Paris. I'm amazed I'm staying so calm during this situation, usually I'd freak out over stuff like this, but I'm taking it with a pinch of salt and I know it'll (hopefully) be resolved soon

Ah well, I have all the important stuff with me, and I bought myself some new clothes from Wal-Mart yesterday (including a rather nice tiki shirt) but there's stuff in my case that I -need- for Anthrocon, not to mention the new flatbed scanner I bought specifically, as well as the candy I was bringing over for some folks ;_;

Could do with heading over to a Radio Shack or somewhere for a UK to US socket adapter so I can charge my laptop (been using Chilly's computer for the last couple of days)

I'd say I've got my health, but I think I'm coming down with something, and my allergy medication and vitamins are, guess where...

Oh well, I've had a great time so far despite everything that's happened, Chilly and Chris have been so nice to me, we've been to Carytown and had pizza and milkshakes and should be heading to Busch Gardens on Monday. Oh, and we watched Shaun Of The Dead while she made some adjustments to my suit - pics to come soon :3

Still no word on the luggage situation yet, I'm hoping and praying that they'll deliver it either today or tomorrow *crosses paws*

In other news, I have a cheap US mobile/cellphone - bought for around $9.99 - so I can now be reached without a repeat of the horrendous call charges from my last trip, plus it makes it easier for you guys :)

I'm here in Virginia, only problem is, my luggage ain't...after several journies around the carousel at Dulles I couldn't find my case. Upon speaking to someone and filling out some paperwork I was assured that there was a mix-up at Paris and that my bags would be put on a later flight.

I've just phoned Air France with my case number and there appears to be no news, this is all I need, I've been awake for over half a day and even though I have my hand luggage/laptop, I literally have no clothes but the ones I'm wearing, and if I don't hear anything back from the airline within half an hour from now i'm assuming the worst...either that or they'll deliver it to Erika's house very soon

*flops, tired, wiped out with a side order of anger and miffedness*
